This is a lesbian Harlequin but more poorly written and certainly more expensive.The POVs were out of control! Romantic interludes x1, 2/10. Story line wasn't bad but pretty complex to make the solutions seem so idealistic as to be cavalier.
Why are these $9.99 vs. 3.95 (Harlequin). Who drives the pricing? The writers or Kindle?

This book I couldn't put down! Riley Scott did an amazing job depicting conservative opinions in Oklahoma. I would definitely recommend this book to a friend.
I loved the slow, tension-filled unfolding of romance between the two main characters but was caught up more in the political strife and media dynamics centered around an ultra-conservative politician whose "virtues" and "values" could not keep her from being her true self in the end--the inevitable scandal. this one kept me glued ...and really liked how slow but tension-filled the feelings between Jo and Madeline transpired. enjoyed this one...
A build up for a great disppointment a weak, unfinished conclusion. I feel it could have had a lot of potential. Sorry.
This novel was so gay. And I loved every page of it! Riley, you nailed it!
The characters in this book were believable and had depth to capture the reader's attention from the beginning. The story had twists and turns to keep one wondering what was going to happen. The ending was believable and I wanted to read more!
